Do You Know Jesus?

“How to Saddle Up and Ride With Christ”

Most Cowboys and Cowgirls live by a certain Code. They live by a set of values that often set them apart from any other people group; values that include hard work, real friendship, truth in a man’s word, and a willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need.  However, while these are honorable values, they won’t get you into heaven when you die. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
We live in a world with many conflicting views on how a person finds salvation and gets to heaven.  Yet Jesus said there is only one way.  Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  The truth is that the only way to get to heaven is through a relationship with God’s Son, Jesus Christ.
If you would like to saddle up and begin a life as a follower and believer of Jesus Christ, then consider the following:
First, you must realize that you have sinned against God.  Romans 3:23 tells us, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  According to God’s word, ALL have sinned.
Second, you must realize that we will all be judged by a standard.  Not man’s standard.  God’s standard.  God will never ask how many good deeds we have done.  He will never compare our lives with someone else’s life.  Instead, He will compare our life with the life of Jesus.  The truth is that we will all fall short of God’s standard.
Thirdly, you must realize that you cannot save yourself.  The greatest need of every human heart is the forgiveness of sin.  Only Christ can forgive sin.
Fourthly, you must realize that there is hell to pay for sin.  Yes, Romans 6:23 tells us, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Fifth, you must believe.  The Bible tells us that Jesus lived a sinless life and died on a cross for our sin.  In Romans 10:9-10 the Bible tells us, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”  If you will believe that Christ died for your sins, was buried, and raised from the dead, you can be saved.
Lastly, if you are willing to admit that you are a sinner, you cannot save yourself even if you do good things, and believe that Jesus paid for your sins on the cross, then we invite you to saddle up and ask Jesus to be your Savior today.
Simply pray a prayer something like this one.  Pray from your heart to the heart of God.  Be sincere in your prayer and know that God will hear you and answer your prayer.

“Dear Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner.  I realize that I cannot be saved just because I have done good things.  I believe that Jesus died on a cross for me, was buried, and then raised from the dead.  Today I ask you, Lord to forgive me of my sin.  By faith I turn away from my sin and receive you, Jesus, as my Savior.  I invite you to come into my heart and be my Savior.  I choose today to follow Jesus and make Him the Lord of my life.  Thank you for hearing my prayer, and thank you now for coming into my heart to be my Savior.
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

We would like to extend the invitation to you to call us or email us to let us know of your decision today.  We would like to offer you a helping hand as you begin your new ride with Christ.
